A Styled Easter Photoshoot

I have been dying to get my hands on these images ever since we spent a morning capturing them a few weeks ago.

We ventured out into Wynberg park very early on a Saturday morning to meet up with Lauren from Lauren Pretorius Photography. She’d asked be happy to let our kids be part of her Easter shoot and obviously I said yes. The opportunity to work with gifted photographers is an opportunity I try not to miss. Especially when it results in the most gorgeous pictures of my kids.

After seeing a few of the sneak peaks I couldn’t wait to look at the rest of them. Lauren did such an amazing job! Not only was she super accommodating with my kids (who are often sick of having a camera all up in their face), everything was so well thought out and prepared. It was really beautiful! Plus the advantage of getting up and ready so early meant that the light was PERFECT!

So maybe I’m sharing it a couple of days after Easter, but that’s OK, because it doesn’t have to be Easter to get a styled shoot going. Seriously, I LOVE the beauty in a styled shoot of any kind. Don’t get me wrong there is a definite beauty in the candid natural shots, but there is something magical in getting specialised “one of a kind” images that you can cherish forever. Especially when the kids are fully grown and just seeing them is a mission, never mind getting a picture of them.
