Ballet Watching Day

Being a Mom of three, my days are regularly filled with moments that leave my heart feeling like it might just pop with pride.  You know the kind – when your kid does something so profound, so cute, so brave, so naughty that you get that weird giddy feeling inside that often erupts in an uncontrollable giggly laugh or a little tear of joy.

I live for those moments.

*My days are also filled with moments where I’m so frustrated, upset or angry I could pop, but we’re not here to talk about those today.*

On Monday I had the privilege of watching Kyla performing the ballet moves that she has been trying very hard to perfect over the last few months.  Guys, you wouldn’t have been able to wipe the grin off my face if you tried.  Not that you would have tried, because you would have been just as smitten with her as I was.

Watching her listen carefully to her teacher and concentrate on remembering the moves before being told what to do.  Seeing her bite her lip in nervousness but not let that get to her.  Knowing that I had nothing to do with this process and she was doing it all on her own was just so special to see.

I’m so flipping proud of her!

The lighting wasn’t the greatest for the pictures and neither was the angle, but I managed to get a few decent shots.

  1. I’m constantly taken aback by how beautiful your kids are and what an amazing mommy you are. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, even though you are waaaaaaay younger than me, I want to be you when I grow up x

  2. Oh gosh, the ballet! I now miss my little ballerina – although the big ballerina dance with such perfection and joy it still has me smiling all the time. Enjoy this – because soon they become big ballerinas with ribbons on their shoes and a bit of attitude

  3. so precious, my little girl. bring tears to my eyes. so proud of her. and she seemed to be the most exuberant, jumped the highest. of course she is perfect 🙂 mwah mwah mwah

  4. I loved the story you wrote I felt I was there with you. I will have to become an adopted granny somehow. God bless, love
