Imhoff Farm Never Gets Old

It’s amazing how you can go to the same place over and over but each time you find something new to experience.

We ventured out to Imhoff Farm for some lunch during the holidays and it was such an amazing family time spent together.  What I can’t believe is how much the girls have grown each time we’ve gone.  The first time Riya was only just walking, then she was running and now she is just chilled out and enjoyed it, which made it that much more enjoyable for everyone.  She’s not even scared of the horses any more.  Which is crazy because even I was a bit weary of this horse that was trying to eat the pillar…

It turns out that he just wanted us to feed him some grass because he is apparently too lazy to put his head down and get it himself.  The girls happily obliged in obtaining the grass, but feeding him was completely out of the question for them but something that I really enjoyed…  I’ve always wanted my own horse.  Not that I’ve ever ridden one.  That’s not a prerequisite is it?

Something that the girls hadn’t yet experienced was seeing a Mommy duck walking all her baby duckies to the pond for a lunch time swim.  It was so cute to see how they really watched them and pondered what they were doing.  At one point Riya looks up at me all concerned, “Where Daddy duck?”.  “Um, I don’t know…” came my well thought out answer.  Without skipping a beat Kyla says, “Daddy duck gone to work.”  There you have it folks, there you have it.

Other than that we had a delicious lunch at the Bluewater Cafe and pottered around the rest of the place.  Only for the girls to stop in the wooden tent type thing and dance their little hearts out.  It was so cute I could have melted with joy right there.  Unfortunately the pictures of this didn’t do their dance moves justice – they clearly have rhythm like their Daddy – thank goodness.
