Adventures At Blue Rock

I had never heard of Blue Rock, so when Warren suggested it I was a bit sceptical.  Mostly because I often over stress when it comes to the girls and routines etc, etc, etc…  Anyway, we pulled up to this beautiful view after paying R30 per adult entry (nothing for the girls yet as they are still under 2).

It has an automated pully system (or whatever the heck, ask a man for technical details, I just give you the basics).  You hold onto the end of a rope connected to the pully for as long as you can – while wake boarding or knee boarding – before you bail and need to build up the strength for the next round.  You pay for an hour, so you can go as many times as you want in that hour.  Also they have a swimming area for the kids and everyone else too I guess…

Besides the manic and unrelenting wind it was great weather and great fun.  We had to make 2 trips from the car to get everything to our covered picnic spot, but it was worth it.

I love Riya’s “What the heck is on my head?” face…

Most of the guys went down for a swim.  So Seth joined them.  It was only when he had already landed in 80metre deep water that he realised that he had his phone in his pocket!!!  One that we had to get from my brother, because Seth went swimming with his previous phone too…  Nicely summed up in a little photo story below…

And as if that wasn’t bad enough, he goes back into the water and returns without his wedding ring.  Like seriously, go swim to the bottom of the pitch black water and find it!!!

I also tried to sneak some pics of the precious cargo and the gorgeous parents to be. 🙂

Dada and Kyla went for a walk to the “beach” type area…

When Riya and I joined them, we nearly got blown away!

It was so lovely even on this crazily windy day, I can’t imagine how awesome it would be on a perfect day!
